This one is a bit of a client request as all the guys who come to see me are looking for that ‘mid-length’, not too short/long look that can be worked in a variety of ways. So here goes my versatile look that can either be worn inspired by the Rocker, or alternatively worked back paying tribute to the Prep School Boy.
THE ROCKER (worked shorter)
ASK YOUR STYLIST FOR: A long graduated cut with lots of texture and a long sweeping fringe. Explain that you want to be able to wear it a few different ways based on work requirements/gym/your mood etc. A good stylist will be able to show you how to use product and give you tips on styling this at home. For Sydney readers who want to get an appointment with me email me on firstname.lastname@example.org
THE PREP SCHOOL BOY (a little more messed up)
HOW TO GET THE LOOK: Perfect for the morning after a night of partying as “The Rocker” (see above) all you need to do here is scrape that messy mop back to give it a more refined finish. Blow Dry the hair back first to make it easier to style and add a little EVO Haze Powder for volume. Then apply a bit of Sebastian Craft Clay through your fingers and ‘rake’ them through the style to give it a bit of separation. Finally finish with a hairspray – I love Schwarzkopf OSIS+ Session Flexible Hold Spray – as it gives great hold but is still very touchable.
