HOW TO: ACHIEVE 1940s GLAMOUR WAVES

By in Uncategorized

STYLE ICON: VERONICA LAKE

1. Curl your hair with a barrel tong or using a straightening iron. You can pin-curl each section and secure with a clip as you go (try our pin curl clips here), pulling them out at the end once you’ve done your whole head.

2. Then use a wide tooth comb to separate curls and to relax into loose fluid waves.

3. Brush brush brush it smooth using a waving action with the brush to reinforce the waves.

4. Add hairspray and some serum to the ends for a more polished result. We love Schwarzkopf OSIS+ Session Flexible Hold Hairspray & Alterna CC Cream for this!

The updated version looks a little like this (but I like it a tad more retro when I work this look for my clients, by making the waves start closer to the roots).
