Men’s Grooming Trends We Want To See Less Of

200 billion images have been uploaded to date on Instagram. At that rate, trends spread so easily globally, it’s like wildfire! We saw some really cool hair trends on men in 2015, but sorry (not sorry!) there are a few that we will be glad to say goodbye to in this new year.

Man Buns

This has got to be one of the biggest trends in 2015. “Rock the bun” was a catch phrase you read everywhere in magazines and blogs. I admit it was hot, but 2015 was the year (thankfully) that most guys (including celebrities) have decided that they’ve had enough of it. We’ve had enough and those guys who sported the look should be thankful they’re not going to fall victim to what’s called traction alopecia.

Slick Back Hair aka the 'Don Draper Hair'

This hair style will look good for certain guys with the right face shape, however it’s starting to look dated and sometimes can age the person wearing it drastically. Take Brad Pitt for example at his and Angelina Jolie’s movie, ‘By The Sea’ after party back in November 2015.

Sorry, Brad but you looked liked you’ve aged 20 years in this photo.

Another example of the ageing effect of this hairstyle is actor Tom Hardy at the premiere of his movie, ‘The Drop’ in Toronto in September 2014.

The Beard

Once regarded as the most on-trend accessory, the beard invasion was so prolific that the mug-rug wasn’t only reserved for men who dress down. Men wore their full beards proud even when dressed to the nines in suits. However in 2016, some celebrities like Chris Pine, Michael Fassbender, Jake Gyllenhaal, and many more have trimmed their beard back which refreshes their look. And we have to admit that we like it! Don’t you?
